Plataforma Tecnologia was founded in 2009 by George Guimarães, Hugo Baraúna, José Valim and Marcelo Park.

The founders met each other while attending engineering school at Escola Politécnica of Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. They have worked for large tech companies including IBM, Oracle, Gemalto and Sonda Procworks.
